SourceMod 1.1.2 Released |
Feb 26, 2009 16:51 |
I am pleased to announce that we've made another release: SourceMod 1.1.2
SourceMod 1.1.2 is a small bug-fix release to address bug 3674. This also disables critical hit hooking until required by a plugin. You can get SourceMod at the downloads page.
You can also get the release notes and upgrade instructions.

SourceMod 1.1.1, Metamod:Source 1.7.1 Released |
Feb 25, 2009 20:49 |
I am pleased to announce that we've made two releases: SourceMod 1.1.1 and Metamod:Source 1.7.1.
SourceMod 1.1.1 is largely a bug-fix release. It fixes a few important crashes and has parity with the latest Team Fortress updates. You can get SourceMod at the downloads page.
You can also get the release notes and upgrade instructions.
Metamod:Source 1.7.1 has also been released. You can get the new version and see a changelog at the Metamod:Source website.
This release is mostly bug fixes, though Scott Ehlert (Damaged Soul) has added support for the Dark Messiah engine. This game is now supported in the SourceMod 1.2 branch as well. He'd like to thank the following people from the game's community for sponsoring this port: Dylan Riggs, Carl Pettengill, Ed Moreland, and Christian.
Special thanks for Matt Woodrow (pRED) for catching up to the TF2 update so quickly.

String Freeze for Translators |
Feb 07, 2009 21:49 |
In order to get a quick turnaround time on SourceMod 1.2, we're doing an early string freeze. This means the language files are locked so they can be translated.
If you want your foreign language included in SourceMod, click here: http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Translating_SourceMod
For existing translators from SourceMod 1.1, please note the following changes:
- playercommands.phrases.txt has three new phrases
- sounds.phrases.txt has one new phrase
- "Kicked Player" in plugin.basecommands.txt no longer has a "." at the end.
- "Invalid SteamID specified" in common.phrases.txt now says "STEAM_" instead of STEAM_0".
You will need to reflect these changes in your language to be re-included in SourceMod 1.2. |

Web Compiler Updated |
Feb 07, 2009 19:46 |
We've made some changes to the web compiler:
- Plugins compiled using the SourceMod website will now require 1.1, not 1.0.
- Source code (.sp files) attached to non-plugin posts will now compile as 1.1, not 1.0.
- Plugin authors can now choose whether their plugin compiles with 1.0 or 1.1 via a drop down box in their plugin thread's edit screen. This option is also available when posting a new plugin. The default option is 1.1, though all existing plugins are set to 1.0.
If you have been attaching .smx files because the web compiler was missing 1.1 includes, please make sure to remove these files and edit your plugin thread. (You should not attach .smx files unless you need special compilation settings.)
As a final note, remember that SourceMod 1.1 plugins will not run on SourceMod 1.0. You will get a rather cryptic message saying "VerifyCoreVersion not found" (this is the best we could do with compatibility limitations).
If you have any questions, please post here. |

SourceMod 1.1 Released! |
Dec 29, 2008 00:35 |
I am very pleased to announce that we've finally released SourceMod 1.1. This is a major feature and improvement release.
Major highlights:- New map management plugins
- New reserved slots features
- GameData updater
- Community translations
- Client preferences extension
- Transparent debugger
You can get SourceMod 1.1 at the downloads page.
You can also get the release notes and upgrade instructions.
We will wait a few weeks before moving the web compiler to 1.1, since 1.1 plugins will not run on 1.0. We'll announce when this happens.
Please go here to report bugs.
And now it's time for props: |
